Limited Dental Warranty
Our practice is proud of the dentistry that we provide for you and your family. Our goal is to not just correct any dental problems you may have, but to show you how to prevent dental disease in the future to save you time and unnecessary expense. The long term success of the dental treatment we provide for you depends upon your continuing home care, exams, cleanings, and fluoride treatments. The products recommended by us for you and the frequency of those professional recare visits depends on your individual condition. Those visits may be every two, three, four, or even six months apart depending on your oral health. With that in mind we offer the following limited dental warranties:
Sealants are composite coating placed on the chewing surface of the posterior teeth. These barriers protect the pits and grooves that are the most common areas for decay to start. Floss and the use of fluoride will help prevent decay between the teeth. At the regular recall appointments we will renew the sealants as they wear down for 3 years. If decay becomes present, we will credit the cost of the sealant toward the filling.
If a composite restoration is the recommended treatment of choice, we will replace or repair it in the event of chipping for a period of 3 years. If new decay recurs or the tooth breaks away, we will credit the cost of the filling towards the crown.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy on a tooth is indicated for a variety of reasons. As with any dental procedure there are some risks associated with them. These complications include but are not limited to: separated files, porcelain crowns fracturing or chipping during the procedure, and post operative pain which can last up to two weeks. Root canals can take as many as three appointments but are usually limited to one or two. Root canal therapy is generally quite successful and enjoys up to 96% success rate. However, some do fail. Should you lose your tooth within three years after therapy we will apply a pro-rated fee towards a replacement tooth. This warranty is void should you neglect to protect your tooth with a crown after the root canal, or if you fail to maintain regular recall visits.
Crowns, Bridges, Inlays, Onlays & Porcelain Veneers
Our most comprehensive procedures we warranty for a full 5 years. In the event they chip, are lost or decay with normal monitored use, we will repair or replace them. This does not cover damage from an accident or the wear from oral piercings and jewelry
Dentures & Partial Dentures
We will warranty dentures and partials for a period of three years if a tooth chips or breaks, or a flange breaks under normal use. This warranty does not cover accidents such as dropping your denture. Full upper and lower denture patients must be seen once every 12 months.
Patients with some of their own natural teeth must be seen at the prescribed recall appointment or this warranty is null and void (minimum of every six months).
Lost dental appliances are not covered in the warranty.
NOTE: As you can see, we are confident of the durability of our treatment as prescribed for you. The primary key to your long-term success is spending a few minutes a day on your home care: Brushing, flossing, using fluoride and prescribed products. The second key to success is regular professional examinations, cleanings, x-ray films and fluoride treatments (Two, three, four, & six-month intervals depending on your condition). This warranty does not cover accidents that cause damage to the teeth or dental prosthesis. FAILURE TO HAVE THESE REGULAR VISITS WITH OUR OFFICE VOIDS ALL WARRANTIES.
